Abstract
Audience: Academic staff, those involved in educational development and trainers in business and wider fields. This book was based on the observation of so many workshops and short courses where participants just about manage to get themselves some time out of their workplaces, enjoy and maybe learn from the course itself but then when they get back to work, fail to be able to do anything different as a result of the new learning because they are too busy, or the ideas are not easily applied. The book considers the learning processes and makes many suggestions of ways ensuring that workshops and short courses have impact on work practice.
