Abstract
Audience: This book was designed for academic staff and those involved in quality assurance and administration positions. It was a way of collecting together much work that I had done in the nineties in learning outcomes and level descriptors, adding later thinking on issues more closely concerned with learning – such as assessment. In the first seven chapters, it runs through the elements that are important in developing coherent structures for modules that can support good student learning. This book is also available as an 80 page photocopiable guide for purchase by, for example, education development units
