Abstract
The Teaching Company Scheme (TCS) promotes the transfer of people, technology and skills between universities and business and seeks to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies. The authors discuss the origin of TCS and the activities of the Plymouth TCS Centre. The TCS programme at Rigibore Ltd. is described. The benefits of a TCS programme are outlined
