Abstract
This introduction foregounds the the potential of LGBT identity within online new media. Offering a hypotheis which establishes the areas of 'Youth Culture', 'Commodity Networks' 'Fan Cultures', 'Body Discourses' and 'Community Spaces', a central point of examination is the social agency of new media producers.
