Abstract
Through my educational role at Bournemouth University (BU), I have developed a particular interest in student midwife caseloading, and wanted to share with you my thoughts around developing research themes surrounding women’s experiences of being part of a student midwife’s caseload. This research forms the basis for my PhD work, which I hope to complete within the next three years. Currently I’m in the process of seeking ethical support for this work and hope to begin data collection later this year. In this article I discuss my rationale for developing this study and reflect on some of the challenges ahead.
