Abstract
Alzheimer’s disease is a growing concern amongst clinicians and researchers, particularly because of the increase in referrals to hospitals and clinics. Longevity brings with it an increase in people with both organic and psychogenic disorders. The link between Down’s syndorm and Alzheimer’s disease helps our understanding of the disease but also presents us with complexity in terms of assessment and service provision. Our understanding of the aetiology Alzheimer’s disease has advanced; in is timely to consider how clinical assessment may also be improved.
