Abstract
As in the introduction to this text, the brief concluding statements of the editor make the all-encompassing case for the importance of the study of tourist retail promenading environments. The desire that research in this area continues to explore the psychogeographical meanderings of pleasure is made in order to ensure that such pleasures remain individually and socially rewarding as an enriching field of liminal consumption for many - essentially a spatial activity of valued retail social capital - and not degraded due to the virtual substitution of space and place characteristics; as in the cautionary tale of entertainment retail told in chapter 7.
