Abstract
Five major trends that will revolutionize the board of directors are identified. Drivers, or agents of change, will trigger processes that will reshape the board of directors. These processes, however, are simply the means to an end - a series of outcomes. Level 1 affects the individual director, Level 2 affects the board collectively and Level 3 affects the company and society.
