Abstract

'Changing Childbirth' has over a dozen references on the importance of providing informed choice for women during pregnancy and birth. It specifically highlights the recommendations that women need to know what is available before they can begin to make choices about their care; that they should receive clear and unbiased advice; and that their right to make choices should be respected.
