Abstract

Clinical supervision is promoted as a method of ensuring safe and accountable practice in nursing, but implementation of clinical supervision has, to date, been patchy and inconsistent. In the first of two articles, Dawn Freshwater, Liz Walsh and Les Storey report on the background to a project to implement a clinical supervision strategy in a group of prisons in England.
