Abstract

In the Spotlight this quarter is external cephalic version (ECV) for breech presentation. The author explores why clinicians have been slow to respond to the evidence. Three recent publications (see Ref.1,2,3) concerned with the management of breech presentation and in particular, the use of external cephalic version raise fundamental questions for both the obstetric and midwifery professions.
