Abstract
In 2007, Learn to Care completed its annual survey of members to see how the Department of Health’s National Training Strategy Grant and the Human Resources Development Strategy Grant are being used in England. Local authorities were invited to share examples of good practice, detailing how the funding has been used in creative ways and how it affects workforce development across the whole social care sector. Eighty one out of a possible 150 local authorities responded to the 2007 Learn to Care funding survey. Seventy three Learn to Care members have shared examples of good practice in the survey and 55 have provided contact details should colleagues be interested in obtaining further information.
