Abstract

This guide is a collaboration of view and reflections from a number of interviews with Training Managers. They were chosen to reflect the variety of differing Local Authority structures and sizes, and their year of experience. The authors have then attempted to make sense of all these views, to add their own thoughts and to draw from our experience. Fourteen sections outline the nature and policy context of training in personal social services, key messages from the interviews and the authors' questions and comments.
