Additional Information: | This half-day presentation to the clinical governance meeting was organised by me to raise awareness of the role of the physiotherapist in the management of people with malignant spinal cord compression. I invited my colleague Helen Tyler from Velindre Hospital in Cardiff to speak about the new care pathway which was introduced after a retrospective audit was carried out. The latter was published in Physiotherapy: Pease, Harris, and Finlay 2004. Development and audit of a care pathway for the management of patients with suspected malignant spinal cord compression. Physiotherapy. 90, (1), 27-34 |
Uncontrolled Keywords: | Physiotherapy, Spinal cord compression, management, service provision, care pathway |
