Abstract
Creating, measuring and reporting 'Impact of Research' is a generally good idea as most health services research in the UK is funded by the tax payer or charities. However, in the world of Higher Education in the United Kingdom 'Impact of Research' has gained a rather specific meaning in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, the so-called REF. The conference presentation outlines the REF notion of Impact and the way Bournemouth University (BU) prepared to establish and report its research impact in the field of health research.
