Abstract
Should assisted suicide be legalised? This is a topic of debate in the UK once again. The House of Lords and the Judiciary indicate that legislation must be enacted by the Government to make assisted suicide a reality. This article highlights some important historical cases involving assisted suicide, and explores the ethical, legal and professional issues assisted suicide presents for nurse prescribers
